In 1976, Ford Deila was becoming a rising figure in Metroworld's animation industry. Having been devastated during the Communist takeover, by the 1970s, the industry had recovered and was ready to break into the TV market, which at the time, was dominated by MCT, the state run network.
In May 1977, Ford Deila, who had created 4 animated shows for MBC, the second largest TV network in Metroworld, was commissioned again to make a fifth animated series.
